Details

Three excerpts from the original interviews with Jimmy Carr that formed the basis for BAD, his autobiography. The three lengthy sections included on this disc (totaling nearly 35 minutes) are "Introduction To Cell Life In San Quentin," "Takeover Of D-Wing At Soledad," and "Life In The Prison System." Three incidents which took place at San Quentin and Soledad prisons in the early 1960s, followed by Carr's general perspective of what it's like to be at the end of the world—San Quentin. These selections give us a good idea not only of Jimmy's development, but of some of the early gropings toward social consciousness among prisoners. The liner notes include an excellent, lengthy overview of his life.
