With gift-season upon us, the amount of transit time that it takes for
your package to get from our warehouse in Oakland, CA to its final
destination will increase significantly. For this reason, we've drafted up
the following recommendations for you to consider when placing your order.
Please order early!
Domestic customers:
- Media Mail: order at least two weeks in advance of desired delivery date.
- Priority Mail: order one week in advance of desired delivery date. Delivery time is advertised by the USPS as 2-3 days, but can be longer around the holidays and is not guaranteed. They say things shipped 12/21 will make it. Order by the 20th if you trust that!
- UPS Ground: order at least 6 business days in advance of desired delivery date. Last day to order for guaranteed delivery on 12/24 is Thursday 12/15.
- Please select an appropriate shipping method. We strongly recommend using Priority mail (via the post office) or UPS. Media mail, though the cheapest option, might not get there in time.
International customers:
- All international orders: order 2-3 weeks in advance of desired delivery date.
- To receive your order before December 25th, order no later than December 8th.
- All international orders will be shipped using Priority Mail via the U.S. Postal Service. This typically takes 6-10 business days to arrive in most countries, but may take longer during gift season, and USPS says deadline to mail is 12/9 for most countries (so order by the 8th so we can pack it up!).
Please state explicitly if there’s a particular date by which you need your order to arrive. You can do this in the comments box at the end of the online checkout process. The UPS and USPS websites can also give you an idea of approximate shipping times and help you select the best shipping method (keeping in mind, most orders are shipped out from our Oakland warehouse within 48 hours).
