ITEM OVERVIEW
21 bands, 21 songs, and the second installment documenting the incredible UK Anarcho-punk scene from the early 80s. This second anthology contains (for what its worth) alot more demo, and previously unreleased songs, capturing much more of the feeling, and essence, of what it was like back then, discovering, and enjoying such music, as demo tapes were passed around, and obscure 7" records tracked down. As with the previous compilation, some of the big names will be (rightly) familiar to many: The Mob, Flux Of Pink Indians, Amebix, Subhumans, Poison Girls, Chumbawamba, Toxic Waste, Blyth Power et al. But half the joy of this is classics from the little known bands from the backwaters, many of whom never made it to vinyl: Eratics, Polemic, Assassins, Famous Imposters, Toxic Phex, Urban Decay et al. A thick booklet, with lengthy liner notes, and photographs, on, about and by all the bands, makes the package complete. Another wonderful document of an incredibly rich, musically diverse, and politically exciting/enlightening era! And, of course, another mandatory release.
